Tao of Love And Sex: Practices Of Sexual Tao

THE PRACTICES OF THE SEXUAL TAO
The practices of the male and female sexual Tao aim at balancing the energies in such a way as to foster the natural sexuality advocated by Taoist philosophy. Taoists believe that the great majority of sexual problems stem from organic or energy imbalances and that psychological problems emerge only later from a weak energy base.
The practice of the true sexual Tao amounts simply to a properly oriented lifelong approach to general hygiene, the aim of which is to develop the human being's natural potential. It is in no way a science of aphrodisiacs or a collection of exotic curiosities for the delectation of the Western adventurer who longs for strong sensations.

The methods we present here are traditional ones. They derive from ancient Taoist knowledge of plants, foods, and qigong exercises. We describe them in detail, stressing the importance of the nine exercises that together constitute a genuine energy training course of potential benefit to all.
